Melbas on the Park
Melbas on the Park can be considered something of an institution on the Gold Coast, having been around since the early 80s. There is a bar, restaurant and nightclub spread out over two levAels - it's big. The decor is what you may call flashy and Melbas was totally refurbished back in 2010 - it's quite an impressive venue.
The music and promotions are unashamedly highly commercial, and attract a young party-orientated crowd. There are resident DJs and bands that seem to know what people want, as well as competitions and other special events. It is what it is: if you are looking for a lively night out in well designed surroundings then you should have a great time at Melbas on the Park.
The nightclub - which is located upstairs - has been renamed the Ultra Lounge & Club, and features a pretty impressive sound system and lighting. While it is spacious, it is also very popular and can fill up. Check with the club to see what's on when you are visiting as there are often special guest DJs playing.
There is a gaming area and cocktail lounge that is open from 10am seven days a week. Melba’s Restaurant and Bar is open from 4pm from Wednesday through until (and including) Sunday and often has special promotions.
